Job Description:

Together with Inuits Belgium, we're seeking a Linux System Administrator to maintain and improve our systems in a stable, collaborative environment. This is a hybrid position, requiring you to work one day per week from our office in Kraków. This role is suited for an experienced systems administrator who is comfortable working independently across a broad, modern infrastructure stack.

Responsibilities:

  • Provision and maintain Linux servers and VMs using Foreman, libvirt, Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform/OpenTofu;
  • Manage OS patching, upgrades, and content through Pulpcore;
  • Maintain monitoring, metrics, and logging (Icinga, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch) to ensure reliability and fast issue detection;
  • Administer networking and security services such as HAProxy, BIND, FreeIPA, Keycloak, and Vault/OpenBao;
  • Operate databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and web services (Apache, Nginx);
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) and automate operational tasks;
  • Administer Kubernetes workloads, RBAC, networking, storage, and operators, including security and ISO 27001 compliance controls;
  • Monitor and manage incoming tickets, diagnose and fix technical issues, and support developers' workflows;
  • Participate in the on-call rotation, incident response, and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience administering Linux (RHEL/Rocky/AlmaLinux and/or Debian/Ubuntu) in production;
  • Strong CLI and Bash scripting skills, with solid systemd and networking fundamentals;
  • 3+ years automating infrastructure with Puppet, plus hands-on experience with Ansible and Foreman;
  • Experience with Terraform or OpenTofu, and libvirt/KVM for virtualization;
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab pipelines;
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration using Kubernetes;
  • Comfortable working in a security- and compliance-conscious environment (ISO 27001-oriented);
  • Certifications such as RHCE/RHCSA, CKA/CKAD/CKS, or HashiCorp (Terraform/Vault) are a plus;
  • Good written and spoken English for documentation and team communication.
